Comment on article on ESPN Soccernet - Wenger admits to seeing what he didn't see

So Arsene Wenger has finally admitted what we have suspected all along - that he didn't have poor eyesight and did in fact witness his players' wrongdoings, contrary to what he had previously claimed.

Frankly, I don't see what's wrong with doing that (protecting his players in front of the press). To build a closely-knit team who are willing to fight for one another and to fight for the manager, a little bit of blind loyalty and siege mentality is needed. And this is no more true than with regards to the manager - he cannot afford to lose any of the respect or trust that his players have for him. Contrast this with the mess up caused by Hull City manager Phil Brown.

Of course, the media will not agree with this as it gives them less to write about.
